This is a brilliant set of pictures from the tiger enclosure at Orsa and I have never seen a photo illustrating the concept of "borrowed landscape" better than this one.

I would not let our friends across the Atlantic Ocean see this photo with the UGLY mesh wire fence in the background ;)

Seriously thou, fantastic natural enclosure. :D

      :D

      PS
But don´t mess with the European-North American relations... I am dead serious from a political point of view, OK?

Maybe drop me a PM on this Dan? Am intrigued! :p

This looks really amazing, I must visit this place some day!

Jodea, what is your personal opinion about the whole Tiger Enclosure? And how can visitors watch the tigers? Platforms, bridges?
    • Dan
Come to think of it, perhaps I should point out that my "political comment" directed towards Taun was meant as friendly joke. I probably should have used another SMILEY sign - I am not at all trying to turn ZooChat into a political arena...

Fence or no fence, this is stunningly beautiful.

Great photo! I don't mind the fence knowing that this enclosure is massive, and totally glorious for Amur tigers in the winter. (The fence is probably hidden by trees across most of the exhibit.:))

Absolutely beautiful and fantastic for the animals. But it would be even better had the fences been tucked behind some plants or a berm.

But where are all the people concerned that you "have to see animals in the zoo"--it looks like one would have to be fairly lucky to ever spot a tiger here in the summer.
