Beautiful specimen- a bit of a contrast to the old fellow that just died at Twycross.

Does RSCC have just this one?

I saw a trio of aardwolves at Sandwich on Saturday; all three were very fine specimens that looked in superb condition.

I expect we'll learn in due course where they'll be sent to. I hope the more unusual species (especially the fanaloka) remain in the UK.

Hamerton have a pair of aardwolf from RSCC , presumably from earlier imports . They must have imported quite a few , as pairs have gone to Edinburgh , Berlin Tierpark and Hamerton . Hope someone succeeds in breeding them soon , I know the Edinburgh pair did have pups that died .

Has this zoo shut down? Their website is no longer operational.

DavidBrown, RSCC indeed shut down, however it appears there is some activity behind the screens. Zootierliste confirms there are still animals and last year bushdogs even joined the collection (those bushdogs even got pups). So it's closed, but there might be a chance it will be reopened eventually (however I don't think that chance is big atm).
