Fossa? I visited the Duisburg Zoo yesterday. I must say I loved it, being a change from the Dutch Zoo's I regularly visit. I've seen lots of species I haven't seen before. The Amazon Dolphin, Koala exhibit and Spectacle Bear enclosure were my favorites of the day! I was just wondering what is going on with the Fossa exhibit? I was looking forward to this as well, but it was empty and disassembled at some points. Are the Fossa's gone for good? Or are they just renovating? As Duisburg was my first German Zoo visited, I must say I was very impressed and am interested in visiting more of them around this area!
I visited Duisburg yesterday, the Fossa exhibit seems to be undergoing some renovation work - but we saw them out and about in part of their exhibit so they are still there. I was also really impressed with the zoo, and it was a dream come true to see the koalas (my favourite animal!) I have some wonderful photos and can't wait to go back soon!

Because of their good contacts to australia, the zoo has imported in the past years wombats and tree kangaroos from australia, duisburg hopes to get in tasmanian devils, and the chances are good, because the zoo has expericences in keeping and breeding tasmanian devils-would be nice to have them back in germany.
