Tempelhof is at the southern central end within Berlin suburbia (in NeuKoeln). Unfortunately, a significant main road (Columbiadamm) cuts right through the Airport and the city park (Volkspark Hassheide) to the north. Whereas the notion of a large city park sounds imaginative. Just imagine the London Nature Garden as an obvious example.
I wonder whether this idea can be put to practice at all. Perhaps some of our German forumsters with intricate knowledge of Berlin Sued may be able to give more informed comment on this!
