Evolution Display

This display is in the exhibition about Victoria's ancient history and is the only one with live animals. Three large Queensland lungfish live in the tank at the bottom and then there are models of the various species that took animals out of the water and on to the land. This is the best photo I could get because they are nearly impossible throughout the whole museum. There are bright screens and glass cases everywhere.

This museum was one of the highlights of my trip to Melbourne. The spider and insect exhibits are really good and the forest aviary is amazing. We saw a satin bower bird building its bower. It was in the middle of a bunch of noisy kids, and it paid them no attention.
