The Amneville zoo in France has a reputation for building a new, quality exhibit, nearly every year, this year it is the turn of South America with "PERUVIA".
Featuring giant anteaters, France's only tamandua and cotton topped tamarin, leading to a new pool for Humboldt's penguin.

Does anybody know who the current pair of Sumatran tigers are? Also does anybody know when Lumpar (Now at London zoo) was exactly born and to who?

You should write an E-Mail to Leipzig Zoo (Studbook keeper: Peter Müller) and ask for the International Studbook...

Ask for Peter Müller and the International Tiger Studbooks (the studbooks from 2005 and 2010 comprehend a historical list)...

The current male is Sylvester born 2008 at Jerusalem Biblical Zoo (Chana X Avigdor)

I believe the female may have been born at Warsaw in 1996 but this isn't confirmed. She is older than Sylvester anyway....

If my french is correct it says two groups of Gorillas. One group will be bachelors- the ex Jersey silverback Ya Kwanza and the four young males from Stuttgart Zoo, which have been temporarily assembled together at Vallee de Singes. Possibly the 2nd group will be a breeding group(?)- as this is current policy by EEP if two groups are held.

I think the 2009 Int. Tiger Studbook is available from the San Diego Zoo Library Studbook lists .

The 2009 International Studbook only contains births, death and transfers in one year...

Good news for the Zoo and for 'Julitta', who was born at Bristol Zoo. She is the youngest sister of 'Oscar' who fathered Emma and Subis at Chester so she is effectively their 'Aunt'.

This baby is her third infant, the two previous ones, both reared by her, were born after she was transferred to Jersey Zoo and were fathered by 'Dagu'. The first was male 'Wirawan' who was moved aged 7, to La Boissiere in France and then quickly killed by their adult Sumatran male 'Major'.:( Julitta's second baby, female 'Putri' went with her to Amneville and presumably is still there.

Question about the white-headed vulture. Does anyone has more information about this breeding ( natural / artificial incubation, parent / hand-raised, are the parent alone in a breeding aviary or in a mixed species aviary and if so, with which species ).
