Parc Animalier Des Pyrenees has this week recieved 3.0 Giant Otter from Zoo Doue. They become the 2nd holder for this species in France. The individual Otters are brothers from Doue's 2010 litter

The new arrivals for this year are : - a pack of canadian timber wolves, - a pair of dwarf mongooses, - two males red ruffed lemurs, - a pair of hyacinth macaws. All are new species for the zoo. A new lodge (third or four for the park) has been built with the new wolves enclosure. A new aviary to breed cinereous vultures is mentionned. And two males ocelot and binturong arrived to join the females already at the park.

The zoo announced news for 2021 : - the lynx enclosure will double in size with a second enclosure. A new male will come to form a breeding pair with a female already there. The remaining three males (brothers) will live in the historical part. - yellow-breasted capuchins will arrive (new species for the park) and will live in the actual parrots enclosure. - a bearded vultures conservation center will be built. - a goat farm will be added in an extension.
New species announced for next year : fennec fox, salmon-crested cockatoo ans sulfur-crested cockatoo. Other colorfull birds are expected.

Arrival last january 19th of a male northen lynx called Éros and coming from Parc Animalier de Sainte Croix. Log into Facebook | Facebook
Following the death of previous male, Luchs, from a disease. Eros is Luchs's younger brother. Several lynxes born at Sainte Croix died from the same disease... Both kittens from the 2016 litter are dead now, and only 1 out of 3 survived in 2020.

Birth of 2 Cotton-top Tamarins in late November 2022.
