Thanks for posting the link Mario! That family has created a fantastic experience for their 3 children, and hopefully they are continuing their journey as their website has not reviewed the past few zoos that they have visited. Here is the link to the epic road trip that my wife and I went on last summer, where we visited 30 zoos and aquariums in 8 weeks:

Zoo Book
Old 25-04-2009

I was fortunate to meet Marla and her family last September, and I have consulted with her about which zoos to visit and what things to consider. Her family absolutely loves zoos, and they've been having a wonderful time on their trips. Marla's other books are great, so I am very much looking forward to the next one. They just finished up a long trip through Texas, and this summer will be visiting quite a few in the Midwest. Lowry Park has been one of their favorite zoos, which makes sense since they have kids. For hardcore zoo fans, Lowry Park can be a little disappointing, but there is no doubting its a great experience for families.

Really cool story about this family's completion of this amazing task:

The Columbus Dispatch : Family goes wild with visits to U.S. zoos

Note that they mention "America's Best Zoos" and the story even quotes from Jon.
In case anyone is interested, the Taviano family will be CBS's Saturday morning Early Show this weekend. CBS is flying them out there for the story.
