Mountain tapir in the roundhouse outdoor exhibit

The zoos has kept a pair of mountain tapirs between 1968 and 1975. They never bred and both animals died in 1975.
Before them, the zoo has kept and bred common tapirs in the house, 10 calfs were boren between 1953 and 1968. They send the breeding pair and the last calf to Wuppertal Zoo.
