There is a Green-napped Rainbow Lorikeet (Trichoglosus haematodus haematodus) born, and there are two Bali Starlings, Leucopsar rothschildi born. The Tragopans have two youngsters outside...

The Von der Decken's Hornbill, Tockus deckeni is in his nest, just like the Trumpeter Hornbills nowadays. The Military Macaw (Ara militaris) has also a little one now.

The young Penguin (macaroni) died, but the King Penguins - Aptenodytes patagonicus have two eggs now 'Fingers crossed people!'

With the Rallus, the Congo Peafowl, the Yellow-knobbed Curassow (Crax daubentoni), the Green Turaco (Tauraco persa buffoni), The Speckled Mousebird (Colius striatus) and the guira (Guira guira) there are also eggs and births

There is also a Chiloscyllium plagiosum, Whitespotted bambooshark born in the Aquarium

The Zoo reports that they are now "vieuwable" for the public

Also there is a Sloth (Folivora) born, from female Wina and male Quasimodo...
Again there is no milk with Wina, so it will be hand raised, just like the previous one, which now is introduced back into the family...

Indeed, when I heard it saturday, they said it was probably a boy, but they still had to confirm this.

Not for this one, Jabari (so the new okapi is called), is with Bondo as father and Yenthe as mother one of the most pure breed okapi's in zoos.
I hope you would say with "a boy again" for the full population? Because the last okapi boy born in Antwerp was 'Darou' in 2002. Between, there are Dumela (2002), Etana (2003), Faraa (2004) and Hakima (2006).

A picture of Jabari:
