Also from the Tasmanian subspecies? Which wouldn't be bad as the pair in Budapest is the only pair in Europe that actually breeds. And did any other marsupials arrive with the wombats?

The birth at Pairi Daiza apparently came earlier than expected and went very quickly. The baby is doing well (luckily) and also drinking/being cared for well. If the weather allows, she is set to go outside soon.

Pairi Daiza did decide to postpone planned festivisties for the elephant birth after the death of 'Baby Q' at Planckendael.

Visited Pairi Daiza last week. Giant Pandas, Snow Leopards, Golden Takin, Giant Otter, Binturong, Wombat, Common Hippo, Brindled Gnu, Spotted Hyena, White Rhino, Sable Antelope, Ankole Cattle & Cape Buffalo. They do have Tigre Blancs, but they could not be viewed satisfactorily.
    Take binoculars!
