(link is in Russian, don't hesitate if it looks weird :) Google Translator is needed but pics speak for themselves)
The private zoo built by businessman Mikhail Pinchuk will be opened next year.
    And it is already outdated.
He said that he visited European zoos while choosing exhibit designs, but obviously he liked only 'historic exhibits' - for example, bear exhibit in Prague zoo.
The species planned are his personal choice - among them are polar & brown bears, wolves (gray, Canadian black, Arctic), dholes, classic big cats, striped hyenas, African hunting dogs, giraffes, rhinos, reindeer, European bisons, elephants, primates (including orangutans), etc.
I'm afraid there would be no invertebrates & reptiles - the greedy apes don't like them.
Visitor activities, besides petting zoo, are: feeding animals with designated food (with carnivores - through the tubes as in private Yalta zoo, with ungulates such giraffes or elephants - directly from viewing area), riding elephants (of course in direct contact & with usage of bullhooks!), fishing etc.

SO what do you think about it?

Business as usual. Of course most animals (including orang utans) will be honestly poached and smuggled. This is going to be just another nightmare zoo for animals. In the meantime Kiev zoo is struggling to get food for animals. World is becoming a weird place. In the meantime organisations like BornFree attack decent zoos, really trying to make a difference in conservation. What a waste.

The owner said he likes Eagle owls, other would be most possibly raptors, waterfowl and parrots.

Still it's far way better than most Russian zoos (especially in small cities).
Mr. Pinchuk admitted earlier that his zoo would cooperate with Kiev zoo (animal exchange etc). He is also known as co-owner of Yalta zoo.
Let's wait for moar pics, maybe elephant & primate exhibits are better than expected.
And Kiev zoo is not in crisis now (maybe you mixed up with Kharkiv zoo which was in crisis but recovering)

    Update on the zoo:
It's named (directly translated) '12 months', by name of well-known fairy-tale and proposed year-round attractiveness for visitors. It opens in May.
About 20 keepers from other Ukrainian zoos would work here and live in specially built hostel.
Animals currently living: Arctic wolf, 2 Kamchatka brown bears (Kuba & Toby from Brno Zoo), bactrian camel, patagonian cavies, ponies etc.
From 15 April, other animals will arrive 'mainly from European zoos', up to 100 species are planned.
The elephant house was called 'huge' but it's suited for TWO ANIMALS ONLY and 99% both would be females :( no elephant breeding in the country since Kharkiv zoo female turned out to have false pregnancy.
The main scenery items are Neuschwanstein-inspired castle and artificial lake with paid fishing.

The buildling of 2nd part of the zoo starts in 3 years, it will have exhibits for pinnipeds (I smell dolphins also since Ukraine is notorious for having private dolphinaria)

Why deleting the pics?! I didn't proclaim them mine, the label of a news agency is already on them, and they're available through Google image search but not easily (as here:
    https://www.google.ru/search?q=http...gPk8ICAAQ&ved=0CBMQpwU&dpr=1&biw=1366&bih=667)
It's the same as deleting pic of animal linked from Arkive etc.
Many pics became unlinkable not because of copyright but due to specifics of page coding, especially when arranged to photo strips!!!
Link for those who wants to view them all right now.

5-year-old male white rhino arrived from Russian circus (there were 3 trained rhinos in Russia)

    -owls (near the entrance)
-wolf alley (grey, Canadian, Arctic, dhole)

Story of rhino: his name is Archie, about 5 years old, wild-caught in South Africa and imported to Russia in end of 2011.
Was retired from Russian circus due to abdominal hernia after being healed. Can be managed under free contact. Used to cramped conditions.
    http://ki.ill.in.ua/m/1200x0/24070359.jpg
In April, Archie was housed at Stary Oskol zoo near Moscow:
    http://xn--90aisup.xn--p1ai/pics/news/2015/04/28/906110_238926.jpg
    http://www.belpressa.ru/media/cache/1c/3c/1c3c31477dcb936da06a404c3fe71bc1.jpg
His temporary enclosure there, empty, pic taken around 1-5 May.
Zoo staff deliberately lied to visitor who took this pic that rhino is 'under quarantine', despite its obvious absence.
    http://www.kavicom.ru/uploads/images/10d71c31babb3151e576a939eb5fd645.jpg

In Russian media, the news of departure of a white rhino to Ukraine appeared at April 19, rhino was said to be sent from Perm city, where he was quarantined, directly to Ukraine via truck, and was called David (journalists love lying!)
Then, news about rhino arrival to Stary Oskol zoo appeared at April 21. He was clearly said to be named Archie - this is his correct name, given by circus trainer.
Zoo director told that rhino resides here temporarily, until end of summer (but could stay if indoor exhibit existed), and promised that it would be exhibited. Another lie - the rhino departed at beginning of May, as you already realised.

Aardvark, obviously wild-caught, note skin lesions

Penguin house is planned (but I suspect usual Spheniscus on concrete ice. BOOring.)
Public feeding is scheduled and goes under supervision of keepers, so the animals won't burst.

The roof supports are hidden in that fake tree.
Note the snake sculpture around the walls - I was deceived by earlier pic of its head and thought there's a reptile house also in the zoo, but unfortunately no.
