where are the antler buttons if it is a stag.

It's the name of the taxon, rather than an indicator that this particular individual is male :p
    • Monty
So it should be a Barbary Stag Doe.

If it was a male would be a Barbary Stag Stag.

That does not sound right to me.

I have seen what they call Barbary Red Deer at San Diego Safari Park. Is this the same thing?
    • lintworm
That is the same, the animals in Berlin also came from San Diego.
    • vogelcommando
They came in 2010 to the Tierpark ( 1 male, 3 females ) and althrough Red deers are no difficult breeders, sofar no succesful birth has been archieved at the Tierpark.
