European Bison Exhibit at Tierpark Berlin, 30/08/11
European Bison are one of the few large mammals to be displayed at both the Zoo and Tierpark - others include Polar and Malayan Bears and most of the camelids. There has been a conscious effort to to to avoid crossover - which has led to Tierpark losing one of its three bison taxa. American Prairie Bison can now only be seen at the zoo; the Tierpark still has its Wood Bison.
