Aardvark baby was born on the 24th of February 2010 at Györ Zoo, Hungary. This is the first breeding of the species in the country, and only the capital zoo kept Aardvarks in Hungary over than 100 years ago. The breeding pair arrived from a Tanzanian zoo and the animals have been on public display from the 1st May 2009.
The baby is parent-reared, its birth mass was 1680 gram. Both the baby and dam are doing well.
