Baby boom in Europe's largest common eland's herd. Security Check Required 2 female red necked wallabies arrived along with their joeys during March. Now the group at Debrecen is of 8 individuals. Security Check Required On May 23rd, 8 corn snakes hatched. Security Check Required On June 14th, a male red panda named Pandita arrived from Zoo Dortmund. The movement was planned before but with the quarantine he didn't arrived on time. Security Check Required On May 29th and June 1st, 1.1 Llamas were born. They are half-brother and half-sister. Security Check Required A Brazilian Salmon Pink Bird Eater Tarantula was donated to the zoo at the end of May. It lived in the Palm House. Security Check Required A Valais Blacknose sheep lamb was born on May 13th. The family was acquired in 2018. Security Check Required A male white donkey was born in mid May. He has been named Guzstav. He is the second donkey born this year. Security Check Required 5 raccoons were born in March 31st. This zoo also has Hungary's largest raccoon group with 11 individuals. A female Varanus cumingi from Cologne Zoo and some Giant leaf insects (Phyllium giganteum) arrived together with some Anthony's poison arrow frogs.
