      Correct, not a mountain coati, but probably the Andean subspecies (montanus).

      N. n. montana (nasua is femininum, i.e. -a) is a deeply colored subspecies of east Andean cloud forests and adjacent foothills, comparable in color to west Amazonian subspcies. Quite unlike the drier region subspecies (e.g. nominate, spadicea) with pale color like the individual on this photo. Lots of variations, but overall coatis follow Gloger's rule.
