@ FrancoiseLangur : Did some research and this is what I found : 1992 : 2-2 animals recieved from Shanghai Zoo --> dominant male was found to be infirtile. 1993 : one female died 1995 : a new female came from Shanghai Zoo but died the same year 1997 : first young born at Blijdorp ( European first breeding ). The young was a female, got the name Nanpi and is the mother of the young born in 2012 and 2014. Somewhere in the 2000-thes a new male came to Blijdorp, this animal was born at Belfast Zoo and is named André. He's at the moment the breeding-male. On my visit earlier this month ( Oct. 4th ) I counted 4 animals in the group : the breeding-pair, a younger animal ( I guess the 2012-born animal ) and the recently born young which was hardly to see because the mother ( Nanpi also ) was sitting with her back toward us. Hopes this informations helps you FrancoiseLangur.
Thank you so much, vogelcommando! I really, really appreciate this information - this is in fact far more than what I expected I could get here
