Pangea Parc is the new name at a new location for Wissel Zoo. The zoo has not yet relocated to the larger site, but will in the very near future. Must check when the final planning permission was given and what the date for first building activity will be.
The main reason for moving house has been the unavailability of extra green belt land at the old site to expand the collection. Zodiac Zoos had thus decided to look for new options elsewhere and came up with the Pangea site. The big charm of this and other Zodiac Zoos has been that they champion the "small and little" that is often forgotten in the larger zoos for fear that without giraffes, rhinos, eles, lions, tigers and great apes zoos cannot bring in the crowds. I find that fear/policy a little outdated ...
