Visited this zoo today for the first time and I was impressed ! A nice collection with several rare and seldom-seen species and all of them in nice or great enclosures ! Highlights of this Zoo are - among others - the Malayan tapirs, Lion-tailed maquaces, Bambu lemurs, Crowned lemurs, Pygmy Hippos, Palm vultures and Great Anteaters !
Discovered young with the Gouldi's marmosets, Ring-tailed lemurs and Pygmy hippos. Dalmatian pelicans were sitting on eggs.

You didn't visit all Dutch zoos yet? It's not so complicated for such a small country.

Marcel gave the right answer ! There are realy a lot of medium and smaller zoos and every year new ones appear ! And althrough the Netherlands are small, they are still big enough to not reach all collections for me sofar, but I´m trying !
I didn´t forgot the crab-eating raccoons but they were a bit disapointing. 4 or 5 animals were sleeping high in some trees and even after a keeper put some food in there enclosure they didn´t became active so no good pictures from them but that a reason to went back to Overloon in the near furure :)

Visited Zoo Parc Overloon again today and actualy not much had changed since my last visit ( which was however only 2 weeks ago :) ).
However, I was able to see an active crab-eating raccoon. First visit at the enclosure resulted in 0 animals, the second time discovered one sleeping in a tree, third vist saw 2 pairs of eyes in one of the sleeping boxes and by my fouth visit to the enclosure today one was walking around near the pool - at least !
Further male and female with baby pygmy hippos had changed exibits since last time.
2 weeks ago the weather was quite nice and many animals were quite inactive but today -which was quite cold ( 12 Dergrees Celcius ) and quite cloudy ) many animals were active which resulted in some nice pictures.
Another changed within the last 2 weeks was that the ring-tailed and black and white lemures had changed exibits, the Ring-tailed now being in the walk-through exibit.

Two of those will house Lion-tailed macaque and Oriental small-clawed otters both species are already pressent at the park. The third one wil house Penguins, these birds are being moved from the now clossed Wissel Zoo to Overloon. These exhibits wil hopefully be ready around easter.
