I simply have to take a road trip through the Netherlands one summer, as there appears to be a number of truly exceptional zoos. Would anyone be brave enough to declare Holland as the #1 zoo country in Europe, or is that too bold of a statement?

So far that it what I have been doing
 I have seen most of the big zoos in Germany and Scandinavia and has also seen a few in England and Austria. But Holland so far has the greatest concentration of the best zoos I have seen. Rotterdam and Burgers are my two favourite zoos.I will admit that I have yet to see the zoos of Spain, Switzerland and most of Great Britain, which also has some great zoos.

Arnhem, Rotterdam, Emmen, and Apenheul are all brilliant zoos. Holland is definitely top of the class of European nations when it comes to zoos. Germany is number 2.
