Otorohanga Kiwi House April 2011. One of two female Eastern Bar-tailed Godwits kept in an aviary with a Pied Stilt. The two godwits were handed to the Kiwi House by Bird Rescue Auckland, with wing injuries which make the return migration to Siberia or Alaska impossible.
