Have these two been mixed together before with success?

BTW if l was to judge a zoo solely on exhibit design l think Burgers is the best zoo in the world.

@Zooman, no. But the combination doesn't really work since the siamangs have a young. The macaques are quite agressive towards the siamangs, so in the morning the macaques are outside and in the afternoon the siamangs.

That is disappointing news, and l assume long periods in small off exhibit areas....

They have found a solution to keep both species outside. All the trees on the right sided of the exhibit are for the siamangs only, they can't use the rest of the exhibit and the macaques can't climb the siaman trees. So they can be kept in the same exhibit, without any real interaction. At the moment the siamangs are kept inside, because the have a baby again.

Seems quite an elegant solution if they can't get the two mixed fully. Thanks for the update!
