New lions for Orana Park

Those who have visited Orana Park in the last year or so will have noticed there are no big maned lions at the park. The three male lions were all castrated as cubs, and thus never grew manes.

However about the end of the month Orana will be getting two male lions from Wellington, and will begin a new breeding program with these additions.

It will be great to see maned lions in the park again.
