i have just tried to have a look at their website and the frontpage says that the park is closed, does anyone have any further information on this. The park was opened a few years back by an english couple called the birchenoughs, and the park had some real rarites such as the belted ruffed lemur, broad nosed gentle lemur, white bellied spider monkey, cheetah and Australian cassowary and i know they were looking to bring in spectacled bear and pygmy hippo.

Oh yeah. I read about this place in International Zoo News. Sad that it's closing.

That's really sad! I've never been there but I did correspond with the owners. They also had sifakas.

The park had to close due to the loss of it's parking space. Apperently the goverment claimed the land, saying they had been using it for the past 20 years, even though Omega Parque had used for the last 7...

Thats silly then.I suppose theres no way they could have found an area near the zoo as a carpark then.
