      Was it born at the Centre or did it came from the wild ? I knew they had for some time a single ( adult ? ) animal but even if this was at that time a juvenile, it now should be adult. So did they get an animal of the opposite sex and they bred or did they got this juvenile animal quite recent from the wild ?

      I believe it was born at the centre a couple of years ago. They hold at least three individuals including this one, and at least 1.1 adults.

      As you may well know the young start off completely bright orange and then as they mature the dark colouration moves upwards and eventually the orange fades significantly but remains as a cap. I think I was lucky to catch this one at a very beautiful point in its development.

      I KNOW you are lucky to be able to take this nice picture as well as seeing this species in the first place !

      they have at least five or six Cat Ba langurs now (as of my visit today).
