No book yet but several hunderds of articles in animal/ zoo related magazines. Further I helped several well-known autors by providing information and translation work among them Derek Goodwin and Robin Restall.

I've killed a few trees but nothing that has been published or could earn income.

Time for another bit of shameless self-publicity.....
Available now from Bloomsbury Publishing: 'The Eponym Dictionary of Birds', giving brief biographical details on persons who have birds (living or recently extinct) named after them. Subspecies are covered, as well as species, so it is pretty comprehensive. Why not treat yourself to a copy :)

Hurray! My bank account was hacked recently and I just got my new card so I'm going to have to put it to use here on the book. :)

I know this post is more than a year old, but this describes me. I've killed more trees than I care to mention, but nothing book-length or that could earn me money.

Last time I was at the San Diego Zoo I was hit with an overwhelming urge to return to my hotel and start writing a fictional story about a zookeeper. I finished it, but it disappeared once I got home. :p

You better order three or four books, just to get a high enough charge to make sure the new card is working properly. ;)

No. A non-fiction book would be very slim.

So far, I have written seven books :

Six Flags Over Texas : 50 Years of Entertainment

    Tale of the Seven Seas

    History of the Dallas Zoo : 1888 - 1940

    History of the Dallas Zoo : 1941 - 1950

    History of the Dallas Zoo : 1951 - 1968

    History of the Dallas Zoo : 1969 - 1983

    History of the Dallas Zoo : 1984 - 1999

    All are available at Amazon.

I am currently working on the final volume of the Dallas Zoo series. After that, I'm retiring.
