BBC and Netflix are going to do a new documentary series together called "Our Planet". It is going to focus on places on Earth that have never been filmed. It's being made by the same team who created critically acclaimed documentary series Planet Earth, Frozen Planet, and Blue Planet. This new series will take four years to film, so we'll have to be patient.

Boy this is an old thread.

I just finished the fresh water episode, and I don't think any future series' need burden itself with seeking remote locations. There are tonnes of disparate threads that could be pursued with equal gusto. For example, an entire episode on the Mekong and the insane amount of dams being built is worth pursuing. Conversely the US is leading the charge in rewilding rivers. But that runs afoul of a certain group with think that 100% renewables is the way to go.

So, lot's of things to do!
