Corruption by bringing in new animals : Corruption found in procurement of wild animals for Lahore Zoo Safari - Pakistan - Dunya News
Lahore zoo welcomed it's second leopard cub in three years today. A leopardess that was bought from an unnamed African country 3 years ago give birth to it's second cub today. The first cub, Rosie, had died at only 3 months old and the cause of her death was not revealed to the public. Environment Protection Dept. of the Punjab government has, after almost a year, allowed Lahore zoo to import elephants following the death of it's only female, Suzi, 2 years ago. Apparently 2 female African elephants are to brought from Namibia. There were talks about renovating the elephant enclosure the year following Suzi's death but I can't confirm whether those plans came to fruition. Also, 3 white tiger cubs born a few months ago have been reported to have died from feline distemper.
