Perhaps . . . but has it ever been confirmed? And if it has, why hasn't he been returned to the breeding program in the Seychelles?

I've read on here that he is a confirmed Seychelles Giant Tortoise, however I have no idea why he hasn't been returned to the Seychelles for breeding. :)

The breeding program in the Seychelles has a sex ratio that is somewhat skewed and uneven. It really requires more females to enter the program before they mightconsider any further males from overseas.

It has been observed previously that among potential founder stock for both the hololissa and arnoldi within the Seychelles the sex ratio favoured males over females in available founder stock, the same is true for overseas collections.
