Just thought I'd post some stats - here are the 10 most viewed photos in the gallery (zoo related photos only).
 Tigon - National Zoo and Aquarium  Polar Bears at Singapore Zoo  Pere David Deer  Baby sun bear  Polar Bears at San Diego Zoo  Giant Spider Crab - COEX Aquarium  Sydney's elephants - first time in the exhibit  Mandrill enclosure, Beijing Zoo  Polar Bears at Sea World Gold Coast  Polar bear, Adelaide Zoo, approx. 1986 ... you can see more photos sorted by the number of views here: All Images - Photo Gallery |

I doubt this would actually be able to be implemented, but it might be more relevant to see the number of views in relation to how long the picture has been posted for, if you see what I mean.

Sure - you are quite correct in your implied suggestion that older photos have more views.
It's not a competition - so it's not really important ... I was just showing the raw stats. ... but since you mentioned it, I guess I could calculate a figure based on "average views per day" since uploading - which would give a more accurate overall picture of popular images. But even then, this will naturally lead to results being skewed towards more recently uploaded photos, since forum traffic has grown significantly over the past 12 months - which brings more photo viewers with it! I'll see what I can do - you know I am a sucker for stats
