Which zoo has the best uniform for its employees? Surely they can't all be khaki?

Links and photos would be appreciated. :)

if you Google Image "zoo uniform" you mostly get pictures of girls in their underwear. But I did find this one applicable to Zoochat (rather than Zoo magazine!):

Trust you to come up with this thread! :D

I almost never take photos of keepers (only of they are doing a presentation with an interesting animal), so I can't really go through my photos to see what different uniforms there are. Most uniform colours seem to lie on a continuum from green to brown, so there is a bit of variation on a standard theme really. I have seen some with black sweatshirts, but they aren't the main uniform colour.

The most unusual uniforms I have ever seen though were at Marwood Zoo, which initially had standard khaki uniforms, then a more colourful version of that, and finally a truly unique and inpractical body suit. Here is a link to a video of the place:

[the staff are now all reluctantly wearing animal costumes] :D:D:D:D

it is very hard to find any keeper uniforms that aren't khaki or green. Which is odd because khaki must show up the dirt really well. I did find a blue one:

Bet that blue one would show a blood red stain pretty well...

Aquarium staff presumably often have blue uniforms, and maybe white ones too.

aquariums/marinelands do often have blue or white uniforms (but they are usually just t-shirts rather than uniformy sort of uniforms)

I quite like macaws. Where was that pic taken?

I watched a doco on the zoo where the superman tiger pic was taken. It seems like an interesting place...

So, it seems that zoo uniforms are all kind of... well... boring. I wonder if there has been any famous fashion designers involved in designing new zoo uniforms?

That is Flamingo land  I never saw any thing with 'plumage' like that when I visited.

Also, that bloke from Dudley carrying that great big owl (Snowy Owl?) needs his head testing. There is no way I would risk him carrying something like that naked..... then again it does say it was very cold when they did the photo shoot, so maybe he was OK :D.

The girls at Cairns Tropical Zoo had some very short shorts for uniforms. Does anyone have a pic? It was a very practical uniform, given the climate there.

I'll try to find a pic I took. It's on an external drive.

What are the uniforms like in NZ? Bog standard?

yes indeed, typically khaki or greenish faux-safari-suit type uniforms composed of shirt (long- or short-sleeved) and either trousers of shorts.
