Why only 2 species to choise ??? There are actualy so many species and among them some realy rare ones. From conservation point of view I would like to see some breeding White-eared herons at several zoos. Just for their beauty I would love to see some captive Capped herons and also the Agami heron seems to be a very nice species to see !
What's the context? Where are we seeing this hypothetical heron? Why are we restricted to only seeing one? I saw both species feeding together recently in central Florida. They were both quite attractive looking birds. Am I the only one who's a little confused?

To clarify, I was having a silly conversation with a friend who said the snowy egret was a more attractive species than the tricolored heron, and I disagreed. That's all. Sorry I didn't provide that clarification earlier. Out of all the herons, my personal favorite is probably the goliath heron.
