I remember reading somewhere that woodland park zoo mixed their black bears with wolves back in the 60s and 70s and also that a number of carnivore species would sometimes be mixed their like civet, grey wolf,red fox,coyote,binturong,raccoon,peccary,and spotted hyena. This was stopped sometime in the early 1970s.
Woodland park zoo kept several species of feline together at one time like leopard, lion , and tiger. London also kept himalayan and american black bear together.
