just as an aside, I found it quite amusing that the author captioning the photos on the above link was making reference to the colour of the glass (!) eyes (for the photos of the leopard and lynx)

No, but here is a pale (erythristic) leopard currently in South Africa.

"Strawberry" Leopard Discovered?A First

A few years ago a zoo in my state (Wildlife World Zoo) claimed that they had two white leopard cubs born to a normal colored mother and a black father. I went up to see them when they were several months old, but by that time they were both normal colored (even though the zoo was still calling one of them white). I never saw photos of them when they were younger, but I assume they started out lighter than usual for the first couple months of life but quickly grew out of it.

How about these two pretty bizarre animals:

Or near the bottom of the page, an albino Southern tamandua

Interesting taht they mention that another female white Orca was captured by an aquarium. I did a quick google search and came across this. http://www.orcahome.de/chimo.htm apparently her name was Chimo and she was on display for two years at the Victoria, B.C., aquarium!

I was just looking around for information about Neotropical opossums on the internet, and I managed to find this pretty rare footage of an albino thick-tailed or lutrine opossum.

And, just for comparison, the original page showing normal examples of this species.

that albino possum looks weirdly like a ferret or ermine when it's all white like that. Imagine coming across that in the wild, you wouldn't have a clue what it might have been!

no they're definitely not albino (despite all the articles on the internet saying they are). One of the twins died soon after birth, but I haven't found anything on the other one so I don't know if they managed to rear it or not.

Dwarf Badger in Ireland.
Old 28-06-2012

Vulpes- do you have any more information on those Dwarf Badgers on the Irish Island?. Not a colour mutation but certainly a mutation of sorts, as far as size goes. Any more photos or descriptions would be welcome. Are they confined to just the one island? What is the population estimate? What do they eat etc? When were they discovered?

this is the paper on the badgers: Sleeman, D.P., Davenport, J., Cussen, R.E. & Hammond, R.F. (2009). The small-bodied Badgers (Meles meles (L.)) of Rutland Island, Co. Donegal. Irish Naturalists' Journal 30, pp 1-6.

(I haven't found an online copy just yet)

This is the dwarf badger thread: Dwarf Badgers

Rare albino echidna returned to the wild - Yahoo!7 News
Quote:
18 October 2012

A rare albino echidna has been returned to the wild on the outskirts of Canberra.

Casper has spent the past two weeks recuperating after he was found on the side of a busy Canberra road.

It has been suggested only one in 10,000 echidnas are albino.

RSPCA spokesman Michael Linke says it is a once-in-a-lifetime discovery.

"[It's a] very, very rare animal," he said.

"It's an actual privilege to see an animal like this up close."

Brett McNamara from the ACT Parks and Conservation Service says Casper's "beautiful condition" made the find all the more special.

"Particularly in the context of the nation's capital, to find an albino like this, literally a stone's throw away from Parliament House here in Canberra, is quite a remarkable find," he said.

Casper was released at Tidbinbilla, a protected nature reserve with a healthy echidna population.

Mr MacNamara says he hopes Casper will be lucky in love.
