Beijing Zoo began to kept Pallas Cats in 1951 and bred successfully in 1979

Pallas Cats are indeed charming animals that I always expect to see.
This species is not threatened (IUCN) in wild, but how about them in captive? Whay's the population of them in world zoos, do they breed well and do they have any specific project?

They are exhibited in a lot of European zoos. They have been bred in many collections.

The species was realy rare untill the 1980-ties - 1990-ties ( at least in Europe ) but from then on, more and more collections started with this beautifull species,

They're held in 13 AZA-accredited zoos in North America.
