A showcase of some unpopular Philippine Species

Disclaimer:
This is not my animals nor my pictures, I just want to share some pictures that are unknown to some. Some pictures are from my friends and some pictures are from the Internet.   Butaan  Flock of Palawan Hornbills   Palawan White Squirrel Recently known to science - habitat known only to a single small island in Palawan.     Parias Mcgregor Habitat known only to a single mountain in a small island in Northern Philippines    Mindanao Hanging Parrots and Mt. i see that your user name is common on many other forums, including phillipine pet finder and some stuff on Gliders. i keep australia Squirrel Gliders do you keep New Guinea Sugar Gliders?

Only on pictures and videos. I live in Luzon island, the best place to see them in the wild is only in Mindanao. But I love to see them personally.

Very cool photos, they are definatly NG Sugar Gliders to dark for Aussies!
THe joeys in the top one are cute too! I'm not sure what type on NG one but they are one of these Petaurus breviceps flavidus P. b. papuanus P. b. tafa P. b. biacensis |

Could you please post some more pictures of cloud rats, with the species/subspecies identification? Few month ago I did not even know there exist such "teddybears" and I am still confuced with their ID according to photos I saw.
Maybe you could know if the two different coloured animals on this photo are of diffrent species/populations or just morphs (like spoted/black jaguars)?

 slender-tailed cloud rats (Phloeomys pallidus), locally known as bu-ot. Thanks for those photos, I have also seen most of them, but I still can not identify the animals on my picture (I took last month in Jihlava).
The two-coloured female looks very similar to the photos of P. pallidus and cummingi, on the other hand the light-coloured male does not appear on any of yours pics, but looks identical to the animals held in Prague.
