What seal species it is?

    I think it's a California sea lion, but I'm not super familiar with pinnipeds.

    It's rather a phocid than an otariid seal. From the shape of the head I suspect Phoca largha, but the color is unusual.

    I would also say Phoca larga.

    Phocids can be very variable in colour and there is often a big difference between their wet and dry colours too ;)
