Elephant female and 1,5 year-old calf - size comparison

Female Cinta depicted here represents the yongest breeding age for Asian elephants - 4 years. She was born at April 3rd 2005, in Berlin Tierpark. The calf Sitara was born at December 22nd 2010. Considering shortest pregnancy period possible (20 months), the mating should have happened no later than end of April 2009, when Cinta was only 4 years old! The calf presumably was sired by Cinta's own father, Ankhor.
