There was a black spur-wing gander in the pen. I didn't ask his name. There were some more in the duckery, new stock perhaps?

Do they have steamer duck at Martin mere, as they were thinking of thinking of getting them a few years ago...

They were working on one of the larger pens (felling trees etc) and there was a notice saying that a pair of steamer ducks were due to arrive later in the year. It didn't say which species; they had Falkland flightless steamers many years ago.
