Will do, but it'll be a while. I called my mom last night after talking about it and she's got it for me. I plan on visiting her in a couple of weeks. I've got a concert in Chicago and a wedding in New York over the next two weeks, so that's the earliest I'll get to Cincy. I'm confident you'll like it, though.

The only thing I know is that the monkeys are expected to arrive sometime this year. They were supposed to come last December so they could be ready for the opening in February, but it never happened due to government complications or something like that.

The zoo's website now mentions the exhibit finishing Fall 2008, which is weird cause the exhibit has been done since January. Probably this means the exhibit will open this Fall.

The golden monkey exhibit and boardwalk in front of it both look spectacular, and the mesh habitat appears to be a decent home for the monkeys. Hopefully Los Angeles embarks on a major advertising campaign to pull in visitors who don't have any idea what golden monkeys are...

I heard the zoo might advertize all over SoCal. I already saw some posters inside the Research offices at the zoo and they looked really nice. I saw the posters along time ago, so I don't remember what they said. They looked nice though, so I hope they use them.

I'm sure they'll do a commercial, specially with the monkeys being so rare. The zoo has indeed done some commercials and the last four are on youtube.

The posters were not of real looking monkeys. The monkeys looked drawn but still looked realistic. I was not allowed to take pics of them, I also don't know if they are still there. Sorry

I just found a pic of one of the Golden Monkeys the LA zoo used to have back in the 80's. The pic is not of good quality and the face is not visible.
