    A Grant's Zebra was born around the time that the White Rhino calf was born, and the rhino calf was named Anna.

    Another Grant's Zebra was born last Wednesday, a male, and is doing well with his mother.

    Two flamingoes hatched on July 2nd. They have been named Lincoln and Washington.

    A Sarus Crane named Avani hatched recently.

    Scimitar-Horned Oryx are now on display in the Kalahari Bushveldt exhibit.

    A Common Squirrel Monkey was born on August 2nd and was named "Bow."

    The 1938 date is very much an estimate. There's an article here explaining the chimp's history and why they chose 1938.

    Can anyone confirm if the jacksons hartebeast is still alive? If so, where in the park is it located?

    Just to answer my own question quickly, after a recent visit I can confirm that the lone specimen is still present at the park.
