A White Rhino calf has gone on display in the rhino maternity area of the drive-thru safari.

An Impala was also born last week.

 

A Grant's Zebra was born around the time that the White Rhino calf was born, and the rhino calf was named Anna.

 

Another Grant's Zebra was born last Wednesday, a male, and is doing well with his mother.

Little Mama, the world’s oldest chimpanzee, has died. She was born in Africa in 1938.

 

Can anyone confirm if the jacksons hartebeast is still alive? If so, where in the park is it located?

Just to answer my own question quickly, after a recent visit I can confirm that the lone specimen is still present at the park.

 

Two giraffes were killed by lightning.

2 giraffes were killed after being hit by lightning at a Florida zoo

 

What an odd circumstance, it’s not clear how close the two were standing. Condolences to the park for such unexpected deaths.

 

Does Lion Country Safari still keep kulan? If not, are there any other holders in North America?

 

I think Wildlife World Zoo is the only public holder currently
