I only ever saw the saiga when they lived at the zoo. In ~1999, the last three females were living in the (now bulldozed) veldt exhibit ... their large flight distance made the smaller enclosures too potentially dangerous, I suppose. A few years later, I revisited and only one saiga was remaining. She was exhibited by herself in one of the old horn and hoof mesa enclosures, across from the zebras.
