thats so sad. How many fishing cats do they have now? Im wondering if cincy zoo will get one of the fishing cat kittens born 7 months ago at the columbus zoo? National zoo in wash d.c. had a pair of kittens and the father is Lek born at the cincy zoo.

The Bengals & the Zoo teamed up to name our two new Malayan tigers, animals that will be a major highlight of the exhibit. Bengals season ticket holders selected "Who Dey" as one name, and the Zoo's Facebook fans chose "Taj" for the other. Come see them when Cat Canyon opens next week!

Member Appreciation Night is a week from tonight, and if all goes well I will be attending in order to take advantage of the preview of Cat Canyon. I'm very excited to see how it all has turned out.

I've hear that the Sumatran rhino is the rarest from other places to, but the Javan has near 150 total animals left than the Sumatran. I think I may go as well to the preview, I'm sure it will turn out perfectly.

Edit:
I'm a bit disappointed though that the zoo received 2 tiger males so they cannot breed at the moment. At least Renji and Nudo will breed.

Two greater flamingo chicks hatched two weeks ago. Yesterday was their first day outside.

The Steller's sea eagle chicks are now starting to venture outside of the nest.

1. Guess who got to see Cat Canyon!? The snow leopard exhibit is superb. Half of it is all grass and the other half rock, along with Asian highland plants all around. The white tiger exhibit has two viewings and both of them are above. New plants and a pool were added for them. As for the Malayan tigers, you get to of course see them at ground level and it is an amazing exhibit as well. The plan showed that the viewing for the Malayans was going to be in a shelter but actually it isn't. If I had to rate it, it would be a 10/10.
2. There are now boat-billed herons in the South American aviary.

Lucky you Friday evening will have to do for me.... It's good to hear that the exhibits have turned out nicely I'm very excited to see them for myself. I'm also glad to hear of the addition of boat-billed herons!
