Yesterday was actually Southwick's last day. However, Southwick's is now closed for the season. The 2012 season saw;

The death of 1 lioness and the arrival of another, and the birth of 2 lion cubs
A new Siamang exhibit with originally 3 apes and then 1 birth
A new Red-Ruffed Lemur exhibit with 2 lemurs
1 Watusi calf
1 Grivet Monkey infant
8 Pot-Bellied Piglets
1 Ring-Tailed Lemur infant

"Savannah gave birth to 2 males and one female. One male is under the care of another zoological facility and the other male and female will remain at Southwick's Zoo. We have a special treat! The male Lion cub has been named L.J in honor of his father, Leroy. The female is yet to be named, and guests could submit name suggestions at the Parakeet Landing Gift Shop.
The ponies at Elk Horn Livery Stable are now walking on a lead.
"A Peacock Party" will now be at 3:00 P.M. on Mondays instead of 3:30, from now until June 28th.
Apparently, Aoudads, Red Kangaroos, and sheep have been born at the zoo recently.
A Two-Toed Sloth family (Looks like Linne's Two-Toed Sloths) have gone on exhibit near the Chimpanzee exhibit.
Remember Capuchin Monkey baby Chip? He is now on exhibit with the other Black-Capped Capuchins.
