Seems interesting but is on Spanish language. To be honest, the Spanish is second language that I can understand/read well (but barely to speak) after English language (excluding my mother tongue and very simmilar languages to my mother tongue originating in Balkans). I will read the article later.

Be nice to have new magazines for reading. It seems the 2016 journal is only for perusal. There is no archive for editions since. If there is, that would be nice.

    Quetzal births at El Nido
The quetzal is one of the most beautiful birds. ñame in nahuatl aztec means beautiful feathers and in prehispánic times the feathers could only be used by high priests. Mocetezuma Crown is made of quetzal feathers.
Parque El Nido was established in 1993 and has breed the quetzal as well as the horned guan. This year was the hatching of 4 quetzal under the supervisión of Dr. Jesús Estudillo and Mvz Marie Palma who says that quetzal lay 2eggs a year with survial rate of 20 per cent in the wild and 80 per cent at Nido. There are 2or3 broods yearly.
They are difficult to maintain in captivity due to feeding, space and behaviour Needs.
We are trying to have 20,000 hectáreas declare as a reservé in Chiapas stat e for release in future. Currently release is imposible in an area with so much poverty and marginality. The quetzals are eaten.
Conservation projects must have a social part to find económic alternatives in the cloud forests of Chiapas for welfare of the native people. We can not build an ecological paradise on a social cementary says Dr. Estudillo. The release of quetzal into the wild is not possible yet.
