This initially sounded quite exciting but the snake really doesn't look well, the photos make it look like a carcass, complete with barnacle infestation. I'm not sure why the article states that there is no known antivenom - as far as I was aware the sea snake antivenom produced in Australia is effective against the venom of all sea snake species due to the similar molecular structure. Nonetheless, I hope this snake survives against all odds until I get a chance to see it.
