RIP Peter Bredl
Old 09-06-2008

Some of you are probably aware, Peter Bredl passed away last Monday at home after a long illness. Please keep his family in your thoughts tomorrow, there will be a public service followed by a private cremation. If anyone is in the area and would like to attend ask me for details, or google it and you will find them on the Murray Pioneer website.

The Bredl family have had more than their share of tragedy in recent years. Yet they are among the first to offer assistance to others in need. Steph and I offer our sincere condolences to the entire extended family on the loss of a good bloke.

Isn't he the "Barefoot Bushman", a legendary Aussie who adored crocs and all sorts of wildlife? His passing is a sad note for animal lovers everywhere.

As Ben said, Peter is the brother of Rob, and both are part of the Bredl family, who ran what I believe is one of the first and longest running wildlife parks in Australia, started by their father Joe. Rob has done quite a number of documentaries and is a brilliant natural historian.
