Seaworld experiences dolphin baby boom - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

Quote:
There is a baby dolphin boom at Seaworld on Queensland's Gold Coast.

Another bottlenose dolphin was born last week, the fourth birth in the past 12 months.

Marine mammal trainer Wendy Bebeck says the 15 kilogram newcomer is the third calf for 30-year-old mother Moki.

"She has a son called Starbuck and a little daughter called Sani and they are both part of our show team," she said.

"Generally they will spend up to around three years feeding any one of their calves, so they don't have them very often."
