What fantastic news
Here is some more information on the cub:
 She was born at 9.00am on Wednesday 26 March 2008.
 Her parents are Jamran (8) and Bopha (6). Both were rescued by Free The Bears Fund sanctuary in Cambodia after they were taken from the wild illegally as cubs by people.
 She has been named Maly (pronounced 'Mahlee') which means 'Blossum' in Cambodian.
 She is expected to remain with her mother until she is independant at two
Maly is the first cub born in Australia. The last cub born in the Australasia region was in September 2006 at Wellington Zoo, a female cub called Susa.
